Since opening The Yard in Coventry City centre in 2017, I have been keen to support and grow the LGBTQ+ community in Coventry and to bring together the Council, business community and local support organisations to help better the City.
I am a passionate believer of bringing colour, vibrancy and diversity into the City centre, trying to break down barriers and foster greater inclusion. I keenly support and organise City centre events throughout the year, with my personal view that music and entertainment truly help bring people together.
I believe now, more than ever, we need to come together as a community and support each other. Coventry has great potential to shine as an example for other cities and my hope is that Unity in Coventry can help achieve this. Living locally and having ran venues in the City centre for 20 years, I have seen Coventry change a lot through this time and I’m excited to be part of a great team helping to continue this into the future.
